Product Overview
The Bareiss digi test II Digital Durometer is a fully automated hardness testing system designed to measure Shore, Micro, IRHD (International Rubber Hardness Degree), and VLRH (Very Low Rubber Hardness) across a wide range of elastomers and foam materials. This advanced instrument features an intelligent electronic control unit that manages the complete testing process while clearly displaying key measurement parameters such as test duration, selected methods, and configurable functions.
Unlike conventional hardness testers that are restricted to flat samples, the digi test II enables precise hardness measurement on convex and concave surfaces through its automatic surface detection technology. In addition, the indenter length can be customized to access specific or hard-to-reach areas of a specimen. Bareiss also provides an extensive range of standard sample holders and positioning devices, along with tailored fixture solutions developed to meet individual customer requirements.
Since its introduction in 1972, the digi test II and its predecessor models have earned worldwide recognition for their modular design and user-friendly operation. Whether testing standard samples or thin-walled components, the digi test II delivers a reliable solution for virtually any specimen type. For more than four decades, Bareiss hardness testing systems have stood out for their interchangeable probe technology, enabling accurate testing of diverse elastic materials and geometries.
Proper sample preparation and positioning are critical to achieving consistent results. To support this, Bareiss offers both ready-to-use fixtures and fully customized holding solutions. User influence is significantly reduced through an automated testing sequence, ensuring repeatable and objective measurements. Calibration in accordance with DAkkS / DIN ISO 17025 can be performed either on-site at your facility or within our accredited laboratory.
