A Melt Flow Indexer (MFI) is a critical device used to measure the flow properties of thermoplastic polymers, serving as essential polymer melt index equipment. The instrument assesses the Melt Flow Rate (MFR), indicating how many grams of polymer pass through a specified capillary under controlled temperature and pressure within ten minutes. A sample polymer is loaded into the barrel, melted, and extruded through the die under a specific load.
